The functionality of the workshop space is to hold art workshop on painting on recycled vinyl disc. It could arouse peoples’ attention on making vinyl more sustainable and actually can go green. It also represent a movement in the history of vinyl record as part of gramophone in the forseeable future.
Project
The recycled vinyl disc for art workshop can be bought and paid directly at the retail shop right next to the workshop. Clients can choose either leaving their designed vinyl disc for displaying at the exhibition hall on the UG floor or bring back home by themselves. It is a meaningful and unforgettable experience for them to know more about vinyl disc and enjoy the time with their partners or friends in magpie mine. More importantly, they are able to know that vinyl disc can be actually be reused and go green in the future, the importance of raising the awareness of sustainability in the world.
