Project

In the heart of Nottingham lies the historic Bromley House Library, a timeless sanctuary of knowledge and peace. I envisioned transforming this cherished space into the Artisan’s Retreat, a haven where tranquility and creativity flourish in perfect harmony.

Concept and Vision:

Drawing inspiration from the library’s serene ambiance, I embraced the concept of “Nirvana” – a state of perfect peace and happiness. My design journey began with capturing the essence of Nirvana through nature and the profound connection between mind and soul. To evoke this serene atmosphere, I wove Japandi elements into the fabric of the library, blending the minimalist elegance of Japanese design with the cozy functionality of Scandinavian style.

Project

The reception area greets visitors with large arched windows that invite natural light to dance across the room. Abundant greenery breathes life into the space, while materials like rattan, limestone, wood, and ceramic texture paint create a symphony of calm and tranquility. In the gallery, movable furniture ensures flexibility, allowing for ever-changing artistic expressions.

This project reimagines Bromley House Library as a modern retreat, honoring its storied past while crafting a new narrative of serenity and inspiration. The Artisan’s Retreat is a place where the soul finds peace, and creativity knows no bounds.
