Project
The Museum of Lost emphasizes a transformative approach to architecture. The integration of layering and repetition enhances the richness of the structure, perhaps symbolizing the layers of history and experience.
The connection with the original Long Engine House and Store Shed, forming a single unit, symbolizes continuity and a link to the past. Additionally, it is an escape towards the future. The design is not just about preserving the past but also embracing the potential for future possibilities.
The compositional orthographic is a combination of the Magpie Mine site plan, sections, isometric views, and topography, enhanced with a hand-drafted stippling pattern, giving an overview of the entire project.
