Monastery of Free Spirit
Adapt & Respect

2084 Narrative
This semester, we are redeveloping Greens Windmill with a focus on adaptive reuse and historical preservation. The location will be turned into a Monastery of Free Spirit. Our primary focus will be on the windmill, where we will create a wine-tasting environment based on holy geometry concepts. This project aspires to combine historical preservation with modern utility, resulting in a one-of-a-kind, reflective setting that pays homage to the site's history while incorporating contemporary usage.
Research
The concept of sacred forms is central to my windmill design, and I have researched the sacred geometry connected with the five Platonic solids. The windmill's design, which represents air, explores with its geometry, resulting in an unusual, symmetrical interior. This design seamlessly mixes religious shapes, resulting in a distinct architectural idea that embodies both spiritual and natural components through geometric accuracy and aesthetic harmony.
