Project
Makers Meets’ is an innovative project transforming the historic Bromley House Library into a vibrant creative hub.
Through my research, I found that following the closure of Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, local people expressed a strong desire for a place to support small businesses and individual creators. This discovery inspired me to transform Bromley House Library into a space that supports individual creators, including designers, artists, and craftspeople.
The first image shows the seating area, which is the first thing you see when you enter. The ceiling is decorated with a shimmering kaleidoscope motif, reflecting the design concept.

The second image shows the retail space, where artworks and crafts from creaters staying in artist in residence are available for purchase.
The name Makers’ Meets reflects the core concept: a vibrant meeting place where creators connect with customers and fellow creators, fostering collaboration and community growth. It is a space where customers encounter something new every time they visit, discovering unique creations and meeting the talented individuals behind them.
