2084 Narrative
In a desolate society, a lone observer at the ruins of Roche Abbey is drawn to the remnants of Gothic architecture. Amidst the decay, they discover a Victorian zoetrope with its unique and colourful patterns. Enraptured by this relic, they set it in motion, watching as it brings to life vibrant illustrations from a joyful past. Overcome with nostalgia and a yearning for lost vibrancy, they resolve to restore colour and creativity to their world, using the abbey's ruins as a canvas to rekindle the joy of life.
Spatial Concept
This visual shows my area of focus. These are the main drawing tables where people can recreate their animation strips for the zoetrope. The stained glass windows represent the slits of the zoetrope and the ornamental details are inspired by the embellishments on the Victorian zoetrope.
