2084 Narrative
In the year 2084, the world as we know it has undergone a drastic transformation. The climate has become significantly colder, and draconian laws have been implemented that prohibit any form of dance. The concept of love exists only in the pages of old storybooks, remnants of a forgotten past.
In this dystopian society, the government enforces strict regulations to prevent any form of personal connection, fostering a world of isolation and alienation. Humanity's essence—its ability to connect, to love, and to express emotions—has been systematically stripped away, leaving a barren landscape devoid of warmth and human connection.
Amidst this bleak reality, This historic site becomes a sanctuary, and a place where people can dance once again.
Spatial Concept
The proposed design draws inspiration from the human body, specifically its dynamic forms observed in Ballet. By analysing the graceful movements and forms of female dancers, we have created a sketch analysis that informs the project's floor plan. This plan serves as a metaphor for an organic entity submerged within something confining and restrictive, symbolising the power of connection and emotion. The floor plan, shaped to mimic the contours of a female body, vividly portrays this concept through its detailed artistry. The contrast between rigid and organic spaces within the plan further accentuates this theme, highlighting the interplay between freedom and constraint.
