In 2084 digital world, the discovery of the rotary phone relic sparks a realisation: we lost touch with what truly matters, a genuine human connection.
This project aims to reclaim it through a journey of rediscovery. Users undergo a 3 stage ritual of cleansing and a 3 stage process of learning to reconnect. Starting with intimate 1 to 1 sessions, they progress to group gatherings where they exchange new-found skills and begin forming relationships. The projects tone and spaces transition from dark and minimal, to open and inviting, symbolising a shift from digital isolation to a brighter future rooted in genuine human interaction
Spatial Concept
The concept for this project centers on connection, drawing inspiration from the rotary phone, a relic that historically bridged distances and facilitated the first worldwide communications. This project aims to unite people, using diverse symbols of connection to create meaningful spaces that inspire interaction.
Key features of this concept include a curated journey through interconnected spaces, blending linear and curved shapes inspired by the rotary phone and the sub-concept of metro maps. These elements will evoke both the historical significance and the complexity of modern communication networks, fostering a sense of unity and shared experience.
