Nottingham Forest F.C. have been recently been promoted to the top flight of English football, The Premier League. To help them compete a new, modern and sustainable training centre has been designed. This new facility contains a new central hub for players and coaches to relax, recover and workout, as well as cutting edge training pitches to cater to player development. The new training academy is located in an aesthetic and peaceful site on the river front just down the road from the Nottingham Forest FC stadium, The City Ground.

Flooding in the UK is becoming an increasing problem. SUDS can enhance greenfield runoff mitigation in an effective way. However, not all SUDS will be able to have a great enough effect to stop the flooding. The authors research aims to be able to implement SUDS to stop the site from flooding so that the authors site is viable all year round and won’t be damaged by the flood water. Phase one is a critical literature review to compare and analyse potential SUDS to be used for phase three. Phase two uses online calculations to work out the site conditions. Phase three uses online calculations to see how effective the SUDS are estimated to be on the authors site. The results found from these online calculations have been implemented onto the authors site.
