Effectiveness of Phase Changing Materials in reducing energy usage and improving the sustainability of a building?
Incorporating phase-changing materials (PCMs) such as Micronal plasterboard into the walls and ceilings of the Small Business/Community Hub will significantly reduce energy usage and enhance building sustainability. By absorbing and releasing thermal energy during phase transitions, PCMs stabilize indoor temperatures, reducing heating and cooling demands and lowering energy consumption by up to 25%. This results in decreased carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable and cost-efficient building operation.
