Project
The Steeping is an immersive brewery which functions both as a production facility but also an educational hub. It is a place where visitors and beer enthusiasts can enjoy and learn about the traditional craft of beer making. The aim is to host events and bring the Nottingham brewing community together, as well as teaching the craft to grow it further.
Project
The origins of this idea came from underneath the site, a system of caves. These caves relish the concept of connectivity as they are a system of routes underneath Nottingham, secretly linking the city together. At the heart of this site lies the Malt Kiln Cave, a relic from the beginning of beer production, seamlessly integrated into this architectural design.
Visitors embark on a journey as they traverse through this space, with no immediate access to the brewery upon entry. Instead, they are invited to embark on a discovery, igniting anticipation and curiosity about the wonders that lie within.
