Broadmarsh Metal Works
Atelier 03: Craftmanship
Project
A concept developed from the site history and metal vestiges left behind by Vikings on the site, Broadmarsh Metal Works aims to provide facilities for the dying craft of Metal working, while at the same time honouring pre-existing structure that occupied the site. The building consists of a 5x5m grid which hold workshops, private studios, educational and business facilities, gallery, and most importantly a vertical garden allowing visitors to experience the void, a form that was left behind by the Brodmarsh Centre, which the grid was built around.
